T-1 Lines are basically fiber optic lines brought right to your location. While it may be installed on copper lines it still works the same either way.
A T-1 line is always on and always connected to the internet. Depending on the service level you select or your current needs you may start out with a fractional T-1 which is a T-1 line but in a lower speed. There are 3 speed options. 384k, 768k, and 1.544M or full T-1.
Most companies will choose a full T-1. Hundreds of users can access the T-1 line without problem. It’s ideal for VoIP / Vonage use.
As with SDSL services T-1 does not require a phone line installed at your location.
